Orpyx® was founded by a group of Physicians, Engineers, and business people with strong track records of success in their respective spheres. Our common interest is a passion for bringing quality, sensor-based solutions to the people that need them the most.

Dr. Breanne Everett, MD, MBA – President and CEO 

Dr. Breanne Everett is the CEO and President of Orpyx®, as well as a Medical Doctor and resident in the Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Calgary. Prior to starting medical school, Breanne completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at McGill University, where she was a Loran Scholar. Breanne’s clinical experience has given her ample exposure to diabetic patients requiring surgical management of diabetic foot complications.  Seeing the burden these complications pose on both patients and the healthcare system, and with the primary goal of addressing these issues, she founded Orpyx® in 2010.

Marcel Groenland, BSc – CTO 

Marcel Groenland is a graduate of the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Having successfully started, operated and exited his own company, Marcel has the tools and experience for successful operation of a start-up company. His technical skills and prior experience are being employed in product development for Orpyx®.

Cendrine Tremblay, MBA, CGA – CFO

Cendrine has many years of financial business experience in various industries including banking, healthcare and accounting services.  As a commercial banker, Cendrine supported the growth of multiple start-up companies. Her recent experience as Manager - Business Advisory Services, Finance, Alberta Health Services provided her with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its unique challenges. These experiences will be instrumental in helping Cendrine support the financial needs and participate in strategic decision-making at Orpyx®.

Amanda Hehr, BID – VP Marketing & Business Development

Amanda Hehr is a multi-disciplinary marketer with over 10 years of consulting and corporate experience with companies in a wide range of industries including consumer products, non-profit, health care, architecture and design, and municipal. Amanda’s experience as a design educator, paired with her corporate background as Brand & Marketing Director for global retailer Escents Body Products, has helped her develop an organic approach to integrated marketing and commercialization strategies. These experiences have left her aptly prepared to take on the role of marketing lead with Orpyx®. Amanda is earning an MBA through the Haskayne School of Business.

Jessica McNaughton, MBA, BSEE – Director of Asia Operations

Jessica McNaughton has over fifteen years of experience in the semiconductor and sustainable products sectors.  Jessica worked at CaraGreen, serving as Director of Sales, Marketing and Strategic Initiatives in bringing life-improvement products to market in a cost-effective way, and at Serious Energy as Director of Sales for its energy saving and environmental product lines.  She spent several years in Business Development, Sales and Marketing Management roles with Jazz Semiconductor and IBM Microelectronics bringing state-of-the-art products to market in the high tech sector.  Jessica is a LEED AP with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont and an Executive MBA from the University of Western Ontario's Hong Kong campus.
